Hello

Embrace your healing from the start,
with an open or protected heart.
Like a newborn in a warm embrace,
embrace your inner child with grace.
While you show courage, facing new,
I will embrace each part of you.

About me
Do you dare to be who you want to be? How can you stay true to who you really are and live your happiest life, while you may feel that you are drowning in your “roles?” Is our past showing up in our relationships with others? There are so many reasons why counseling can help!
I can’t describe how honored, fulfilled and humbled I feel when working with individuals and couples. Just like you, I carry many identities. I am a mother of teens, a perimenopausal female, a divorcee, a survivor of postpartum depression, a lover, a friend, a daughter, a dog mom, a former expatriate, a foreigner, a breastfeeding counselor, a postpartum doula, an author, and a psychology nerd. The list goes on. I hope that my life experiences, combined with my trainings and clinical skills, make me an excellent fit to work with you.

In counseling, we will work towards that best version of your life and towards greater happiness.
My Approach

I use a warm, empathic, interpersonal approach in my counseling. I am direct, full of humor, and brutally honest! I'm here to challenge you because while real growth isn't always comfortable, it is always worth it. I like to be strength- and process-based and pull from Attachment and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). I am trained in EMDR and a certified Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C) provider. For couples, I use Gottman and EFT methods. Counseling can be a wonderful tool for learning how to move forward in a healthy way, and often that means looking back to understand how you got here.
I enjoy helping adolescents and adults find their way to a more fulfilling life. I use CBT, Polyvagal, and mindfulness interventions to give you immediate tools, and will take my time to help you process what you are- or have been going through.
Together, we will explore a new way forward.

I have a special passion for helping postpartum women and new parents. In the past, I have provided hands-on care to many families in Central Oregon as a postpartum doula; I am certified in breastfeeding support and the author of the book The Next Level Postpartum Doula. I continue to help families and advocate for better perinatal mental health.
In my free time, I love to roam the mountains and campgrounds of Oregon’s majestic wonderland with my dog, partner, sons, or friends.
